Father Dismas Kline, CFR

Father Dismas Kline, CFR an American priest of the congregation of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, is Spiritual Advisor to the Directors of WOOMB International.

He was ordained to the priesthood in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the College of Charleston (South Carolina) and Master’s of Divinity from St. Joseph´s Seminary (Yonkers, NY). He has been a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal for over 20 years and has lived for nearly the last 10 years as a priest in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, where he works with 5 other friars in various apostolates – including the administration of the Diocesan Cathedral.

Fr. Dismas was present as a young lay brother for the establishment of the friars´ Corazón Puro apostolate in Nicaragua about 15 years ago, which is dedicated to promoting the virtue of chastity among young people. As that ministry began to flourish over the years it became apparent that a sister ministry was needed for the needs of its newly wed couples, who were aging out of Corazón Puro and were eager to know how to live the virtue of chastity in marriage. Therein the genesis of MOBiN: Nicaragua´s WOOMB affiliate, which was granted official membership in 2017.

In addition to his work with MOBiN and WOOMB, Fr. Dismas also leads a ministry of healing retreats in Nicaragua for victims of both sexual abuse and abortion (From Grief to Grace and Rachel´s Vineyard, respectively).

Since 2023, Fr. Dismas has served as Spiritual Advisor to WOOMB Latin America and as a Consultant to the Directors of WOOMB International. In that same year he was charged with giving a talk for WOOMB Latin America´s bi-annual international gathering (in Toluca, MX) on the life and times of John and Evelyn Billings, the research for which led him to a deep appreciation and love for the founders of WOOMB, International. Fr. Dismas really does enjoy long walks on the beach and just about anything else that takes place thereon.
