In the early 1970s a missionary doctor came to Melbourne and met Drs John and Evelyn Billings. This doctor was Dr Sr Anna Capella. Being unable to return to her beloved Pakistan, Anna returned to Rome where the Lord had other plans for her brilliance. She has left a wonderful legacy and she would be the first to say that she was able to do this because of three wonderful doctors who became involved in her work, offering this good news of the Billings Ovulation Method® through the Research Centre for the Regulation of Fertility at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart here in Rome.

The Directors of WOOMB International are delighted to announce the John and Evelyn Billings Award to three worthy recipients – Dr Elena Giacchi, Dr Paola Pellicano and Dr Aurora Saporosi. Italy has a strong team of Billings Ovulation Method® teachers who have been trained at some point by one or all of this team. Other countries, like Romania and Albania have also benefited from their dedication to spreading the authentic Method. 

They were well known and loved by John and Lyn Billings who will be very pleased that they are being honoured in their name this evening. With our gratitude, we have pleasure in awarding John and Evelyn Billings Awards to Elena, Paola and Aurora for their roles in spreading the good news of the Billings Ovulation Method® throughout Italy and further afield.
